Longitudinal Power and Sample Size Tools
As part of the NSF CAREER project on longitudinal studies in STEM education, the lab is developing tools, examples, documentation, and training materials for statistical power analysis and optimal sample size planning in longitudinal experimental and quasi-experimental studies.
Planned resources include:
- R-based functions for common longitudinal experimental and quasi-experimental designs.
- Interactive examples for applied researchers designing longitudinal studies in STEM education and related fields.
- Worked examples using realistic design parameters and repeated-measures structures.
- Documentation and workshop materials for researchers who need study-planning guidance rather than only formulas.
